Article 2 of the Banking Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China

The State Council Banking Regulatory Authority is responsible for the supervision and management of banking financial institutions and their business activities throughout the country.

Article 8

The banking supervision institution of the State Council shall set up an agency according to the needs of performing its duties. The State Council banking supervision institutions shall exercise unified leadership and management over the dispatched offices.

The dispatched offices of the banking supervision institutions in the State Council shall perform their duties of supervision and management within the scope authorized by the banking supervision institutions in the State Council.

Article 9

Personnel engaged in supervision and management of banking supervision institutions shall have professional knowledge and professional work experience suitable for their posts.
