If the money refunded to a credit card needs to be transferred out, there are several methods:
1. The cardholder can log in to the personal online banking of the card issuer on a computer or log in on a mobile phone Use the card issuing bank's mobile banking client or credit card APP to find the card on the personal account page and perform cash transfer operations.
2. Cardholders can call the customer service hotline of the card-issuing bank, follow the voice prompts for self-service transfer through telephone banking, or contact manual customer service and apply to the customer service staff for transfer.
3. If there is a business branch of the card-issuing bank nearby, the cardholder can bring his credit card and ID card to the branch counter to see the staff to handle the overpayment transfer procedure; or go directly to the self-service terminal Transfers and cash withdrawals are also possible.
Generally, after the refund arrives, the bank will send a text message to notify the customer. After receiving the notification, the customer can transfer the funds immediately. But it doesn’t matter if you don’t transfer it out. After all, the overpayment can be used first when using the credit card, so the cardholder can also use the returned money to deduct the transaction amount when swiping the card later.
Most banks take about half a month for refunds to arrive, and some even take longer. For example, it takes about ten working days for Bank of China or some local banks; about 15 working days for ICBC; about 3-15 working days for China Construction Bank; and about 3 working days for China Merchants Bank.
It is important to note that a refund is only a reversal of the original transaction and does not count as actual repayment. The account after the refund is not actually credited to the credit card, but is used as an overpayment on the credit card.
