Hello, Xiaoan is happy to answer your questions. Currently, there are two credit card payment lines for overseas consumption: UnionPay lines and international lines (VISA, MASTERCARD, JCB). If the card is swiped on UnionPay lines, the payment will be settled directly in RMB, and if the card is swiped on international lines, the payment will be settled in US dollars. Overseas consumption by credit card will generally be settled in U.S. dollars. If the consumption amount is in non-U.S. dollars, an overseas exchange fee (1.5% of the transaction amount) will be incurred. If the consumption amount is in US dollars, there will be no exchange fee. When you are making purchases overseas, it is recommended to confirm with the merchant whether there is a UnionPay credit card line to facilitate your choice.
