Ningde, also known as Mindong, is the hometown of large yellow croaker in China and a national garden city. Known as "the lake on the sea, the fairy capital of Buddhism, and the hundred-mile gallery". Located in the northeast coast of Fujian Province, in the east of Fujian Province, it faces the East China Sea in the east, across the sea from Taiwan Province, Nanping in the west, Fuzhou, the provincial capital, in the south and Zhejiang in the north.
