Some scams target this type of consumer, offering free photos of adult content as bait. As a result, when customers downloaded photos, they also downloaded a dial-up software unconsciously. Afterwards, their computer was automatically placed an international call by the dialing software without their knowledge. Customers did not know they had been deceived until they received huge phone bills.
5. Buying computer software scam: Buying a computer software that is much cheaper than other online stores. When you download software, scammers download computer viruses to you, steal information from your computer, and then use this information to commit crimes online.
6. Internet part-time job criminals use the Internet to publish part-time job recruitment information, use "Taobao to get cash back" as bait to publish part-time job advertisements, build Taobao's reputation on the Internet, and lure victims to the Taobao stores they provide. Order and promise to return the order money and commission to the victim's account after the victim pays the money. 7. Loan application fee Some people offer low-interest housing or car loans online. This scam uses low-interest loans as bait in order to defraud application fees.
8. Credit Card Application Some people find it difficult to apply for a credit card because their credit history is poor. This scam is aimed at this consumer, claiming to provide them with a credit card without a credit check. As long as the applicant pays the application fee, a credit card is guaranteed to be opened. As a result, the applicant still could not get the credit card after paying the application fee. This is a scam designed to defraud credit card application fees.
