How to distinguish DDGS, DDG and DDS?
The product name of DDGS distiller's grains protein feed is DDG (dried distiller's grains), which is obtained by simply filtering corn alcohol distiller's grains, drying the filter residue, discharging the filtrate, and drying only the filter residue. The other is DDGS (distiller's grains with solution), which is the feed obtained by drying and concentrating the filtrate and mixing it with filter residue. The total amount of energy and nutrients of the latter is obviously higher than that of the former. DDGS consists of DDG (dry distiller's grains) and DDS (distiller's grains filtrate soluble in alcohol), which contains about 30% DDS and 70% DDG.
