The producing environment of Cinnamomum cassia in Guangxi
Guangxi is located in the subtropical climate, especially in the vast hills and low mountains south of the Tropic of Cancer, and belongs to the tropical climate of South Asia. The annual average temperature is about 22℃, the high temperature lasts 180 days, and there is no frost or only short-term light frost all year round. There is plenty of rain, and the annual rainfall is between1500-2000 mm. The natural conditions of high temperature and high humidity and fertile red soil are very suitable for the growth of cinnamon. Guangxi is the largest cinnamon producing area in China, with a large planting area of137,000 hectares in 2009.
