Brief introduction of Shanghai lead futures;
1. Metal lead is a corrosion-resistant heavy nonferrous metal material. Lead has the advantages of low melting point, strong corrosion resistance, impenetrability of X-ray and γ-ray, and good plasticity. It is often processed into plates and pipes, which are widely used in chemical industry, cables, storage batteries, radiation protection and other industrial departments.
2. There are two metallurgical methods to extract lead: pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy. The former is widely used in industrial production. The traditional pyrometallurgical lead smelting method generally includes three links: sintering and roasting of lead concentrate, lead smelting, pyrometallurgical refining of crude lead or electrolytic refining of lead.
3. Lead can be used to make nuclear power plant protective covers and nuclear waste storage tanks, high-power storage batteries for load regulation in power departments, and magnetohydrodynamic devices.
