Henan Province, called Yu for short, is a provincial administrative region in People's Republic of China (PRC). Zhengzhou, the provincial capital, is located in the middle of China, bordering Anhui and Shandong in the east, Hebei and Shanxi in the north, Shaanxi in the west and Hubei in the south. Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, is an important central city in central China, a megacity, an important comprehensive transportation hub of the country and a core city of the Central Plains Economic Zone. It is located in the south of North China Plain, the lower reaches of the Yellow River, north of central Henan, adjacent to Kaifeng in the east, Luoyang in the west, Xuchang and Pingdingshan in the south, and Xinxiang and Jiaozuo across the Yellow River in the north.
Zhengzhou is a comprehensive transportation hub integrating highway, railway, aviation and communication in China. It is also one of the commodity distribution centers in China, with the largest train marshalling station in Asia and the largest LTL transfer station in China. Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange is the first futures exchange in China, and Zhengzhou Airport Area is the first national airport economic comprehensive experimental zone in China.
