20 12 July, the Mangrove Foundation (MCF) came into being, dedicated to the protection of coastal wetlands represented by mangroves, and actively carried out scientific protection, wetland education, industry cooperation and social resource mobilization for nine years.

On July 20 12, the foundation was initiated by Alashan SEE Ecological Association, entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic about public welfare and relevant departments in Shenzhen. Ma Weihua is the founding president (founding director), Zhang, the former president of Shenzhen University, Ai, the seventh president of Alashan SEE Ecological Association, and the current president are honorary directors, and Lei Guangchun, a professor at the School of Ecology and Nature Protection of Beilin University and chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the Convention on Wetlands, is the chairman.
