In the second batch of national characteristic towns publicity list, there are 14 towns in Guangdong, namely Xiqiao Town in Nanhai District of Foshan City, Shawan Town in Panyu District of Guangzhou City, Lecong Town in Shunde District of Foshan City, Doumen Town in Doumen District of Zhuhai City, Tangxia Town in Pengjiang District of Jiangmen City, Liuwei Town in Fengshun County of Meizhou City, Putian Town in Jiedong District of Jieyang City, Dayong Town in Zhongshan City and Shabai Town in Dianbai District of Maoming City. Last year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced the first batch of 127 characteristic towns in China. Among them, six towns in Guangdong Province were selected, including Beijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan City; Chikan Town, Kaiping City, Jiangmen City; Huilong Town, Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing City; Yangyan Town, Meixian District, Meizhou City; Guzhu Town, Jiangdong New District, Heyuan City; And Guzhen Town, Zhongshan City.
