Yangshan Island, also known as Yangshan Island, was named after the legend of the golden sheep that once appeared on the island. It is located about 30 kilometers east of Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province and 300 meters south of Gaogong Island, with an area of about 3 15 mu and a coastline of 2,685 meters. It is adjacent to Yuntai Mountain in the west, Tianwan Nuclear Power Station in the south, the Yellow Sea in the east, surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on one side, with unique natural scenery. It is a national forest park and a natural ecological scenic spot, with the only rock-type marine erosion landform in Jiangsu. In the late 1970s, a stone embankment was built to connect Yangshan Island and Gaogong Island. Five kilometers northeast of Yangshan Island, there is a rock reef called Qian Shan Reef.
20 15 10, the ecological protection and restoration project of Yangshan Island was approved by the State Oceanic Administration, and the Central Island and Sea Area Protection Fund allocated 48 million yuan. The main contents are bridge construction, waterway dredging, coastal reinforcement, island greening and road construction. The specific project is to dismantle the 245-meter dam of Yangshan Island and build two bridges; Channel dredging is 480m, coastal reinforcement is 400m, island channel is 3492m, and vegetation restoration is about 12000m2.
