There are Chinese textbooks. I wonder if it's from the same designer. I wish I could check them. Let's feel it: the surname of the second volume of the first-grade Chinese in People's Education Edition is Song. I really don't know what the characters in this picture have to do with surnames.

In my opinion, textbook illustrations are really not so-called niche products, but students, including our own children, so netizens are very angry. As a designer, I think there should be an explanation. Even if you are wrong, you should admit it bravely.
In addition, everyone's understanding of this illustration is really different, and even some netizens use their own brains to think that the author deliberately did it and harmed the students.
In the case that things are not clear, I think we should continue to pay attention and wait for designers and relevant departments to give us a final and clear statement and explanation. Never turn this criticism into human flesh and cyber violence, otherwise it will become another ugly painting style.
