Fudan University, formerly known as Fudan College, was founded in 1905, and it is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning independently founded by the people in China. 1952 after the adjustment of departments, the school has become a comprehensive university focusing on basic teaching and research of arts and sciences. In 2000, Fudan University merged with Shanghai Medical University, the fourth national medical college of Sun Yat-sen University founded by 1927, to form a new Fudan University.
The school * * * applied for the National Natural Science Foundation of China 1745, and supported 482 projects with a funding amount of174.659 million yuan. Among them, 254 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 59 youth science funds 10, 2 key projects of major research programs and 4 national science funds for outstanding young people were obtained.
The school received 20 grants from the doctoral program fund of the Ministry of Education and 37 grants from new teachers, with a funding amount of 2.532 million yuan. The Ministry of Education's "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan" 19, and the Ministry of Education's 39 research start-up funds for returned overseas students, with the funding amount of1285,000 yuan.
