Index funds are sometimes not necessarily better than active stock bases. You know, there are many kinds of index funds and their coverage is too wide. There are large-cap and small-cap index funds, industry index funds, style index funds and various index funds.

It is best to choose representative ones, and small and medium-sized styles are appropriate.

On the other hand, large-cap index funds are not as good as active stock hybrid funds.
