In January 2015, Bank of Beijing opened its 11th off-site branch in Urumqi, becoming the first city commercial bank branch to operate across regions in Xinjiang.

The Bank of Beijing has approved over 20 billion yuan in industrial funds for comprehensive urban management, affordable housing construction, old city renovation projects, and tourism project construction in five prefectures and cities, including Urumqi, Changji, Hami, Altay, and Ili.
