Among Iranian Muslims, Shiites account for more than 95% of the total number, among which 12 imams account for more than 85%, and the rest are Yi Sima, Zaid, Bahai and Babu. 12 imams follow ursula Sect (80%) and Abari Sect (20%) in teaching methods respectively. Iran has published a large number of Islamic classics and periodicals in Persian and Arabic. Iran is a member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Islamic World League and the World Islamic Congress.
