What does ETS level mean?

ETS levels are Educational Testing Service test levels.

ETS's exams in China: 1. TOEFL: The TOEFL test (TOEFL) was developed by ETS in 1964 to test the ability of non-native English-speaking candidates to understand and use English in a campus environment.

Currently, TOEFL test scores are recognized by more than 6,000 colleges, universities, vocational schools and academic education institutions in more than 110 countries. The TOEFL test has been recognized as a widely recognized English proficiency test program around the world.

ETS also provides a series of online learning tools and online information resources for candidates to actively prepare for the TOEFL Internet Test and improve their English learning abilities.

The TOEFL Internet-based test will be implemented in other parts of the world in 2006.

Before the TOEFL Internet-based test is implemented in other parts of the world, candidates can continue to take the local TOEFL computer-based test and written test.

2. GRE exam: The GRE exam is an entrance exam for graduate students. It is applicable to graduate exams in various disciplines and majors except law (which requires taking the LSAT exam) and business (which requires taking the GMAT exam).

The GRE test is divided into two types, the general GRE test (GRE General) and the special GRE test (GRE Subject). However, most American colleges and universities do not require special GRE scores, only general GRE scores.

Approximately 25% of ETS's work is conducted by the College Board, a non-profit organization affiliated with universities, colleges, school districts, and high schools.

The most famous test it launches is the SAT, which more than 3 million students take every year.

ETS also developed the PSAT/NMSQT and some Advanced Placement courses, which are widely used in American high schools for advanced courses.

Beginning in 1983, ETS began conducting the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

NAEP is the only nationally representative continuous assessment of students' cognitive abilities.

In addition to these non-profit and government (such as college administration, the National Education Data Center, and some state education departments) authorized exams, ETS also publishes its own exams.

These include the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), TOEFL, TOEIC, and the Praxis series of teacher certifications.
