Xiamen University (hereinafter referred to as Xiamen University), located in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). Known as "a strong school in the south", it ranks among the national "double first-class", "21/project" and "985 project" key construction universities.
The school was selected into the national "20 1 1 Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan". The school motto is "self-improvement, stop at perfection"
2. Faculty major
As of April 2023, the school has graduate schools, 6 departments, 34 colleges (directly affiliated departments and directly affiliated centers) and 17 research institutes, offering 104 undergraduate majors, covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art and interdisciplinary.
3. Teachers.

4. Discipline construction
By April 2022, the school has formed a discipline system covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art and interdisciplinary subjects 12. There are five first-class disciplines and nine national key disciplines in two disciplines.
5. Teaching construction
By April 2022, there were more than 44,000 students in the school, including more than 20,000 undergraduates, 5,000 postgraduates18,000 doctoral students. The school's internal quality assurance system was selected as one of the UNESCO's "excellent principles and innovative practice research cases of internal quality assurance in higher education", and it is the only university in China and East Asia.
