1, 18 to 40 years old (born after 1966 1), including people from other cities who have worked continuously for more than two years.

Measures of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for the Management of Youth Science Fund Projects

Article 6: The following scientific and technical personnel shall not apply for youth fund projects:

(a) The person in charge is undertaking a youth fund project;

(two) as the person in charge of the Youth Fund project;

(3) those who are studying for a postgraduate degree.

In item (3) of the preceding paragraph, if the on-the-job doctoral students meet the conditions stipulated in Article 6, they may apply through the supporting units they employ with the consent of their tutors.
