Dong Wenhua, male, born in October 1938, is from Chaheji Village, Bazhou City, Hebei Province.

He is a national first-class actor of Tianjin Performing Arts Advisory Committee.

He once served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin CPPCC, a member of the Chinese Dramatists Association, a director of the Tianjin Drama Association, and the vice president of the Tianjin Peking Opera Foundation.

Achievements include winning the Beijing Opera Exhibition Award for starring in "Water Curtain Cave" in 1955 and so on.

Dong Wenhua was born in a Liyuan family. His grandfather Dong Yushan was a famous Hebei Bangzi player in the arts and martial arts. His father Dong Zhibin and his uncle Cui Shengbin were both famous in Peking Opera and martial arts.

He studied art with his father since he was a child. He was a graduate of Gongwu and Literary and Wushu. He appeared on the stage at the age of 8, joined an acting troupe at the age of 11, and became a leading actor at the age of 13, touring in Yanzhao.
