1. International direct investment. FDI (international direct investment) is one of the main forms of modern capital internationalization. According to the definition of the International Monetary Fund, FDI refers to an investment in which an enterprise operates in a country other than the investor's country, and its purpose is to have a say in the management of the enterprise.

2. Foreign direct investment refers to the direct investment in China by foreign enterprises, economic organizations or individuals (including overseas Chinese, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and enterprises registered overseas in China) in accordance with relevant policies and regulations of China. Including the establishment of wholly foreign-owned enterprises in China, joint ventures, cooperative ventures or cooperative development of resources with enterprises or economic organizations in China (including reinvestment of foreign investment income), and funds borrowed from overseas by enterprises within the total project investment approved by relevant government departments.
