Jiujiang University is a state-owned public full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Its school-running history can be traced back to Danford Hospital Nursing School founded by American Methodist Church in 190 1. At present, its school-running system is "province-based".
The school is located in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, a famous historical and cultural city in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, at the junction of Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and Anhui provinces, at the foot of Lushan Mountain, on the shore of the Yangtze River and on the shore of Poyang Lake.
