Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Fund Award was founded in 199 1 and sponsored by Mao Yisheng Science and Technology Education Fund Committee of China Science and Technology Development Foundation to commemorate Professor Mao Yisheng, an outstanding educator, social activist and pioneer of bridge engineering in China. The fund aims to inherit and carry forward Professor Mao Yisheng's unfinished career and lofty spirit, and support relevant departments to carry out popular science education activities, academic exchanges, personnel training and achievement award selection, so as to promote the prosperity of national science and technology education, optimize the social science and technology education environment, and promote the growth of scientific and technological reserve talents. Since its establishment, the Fund has rewarded a number of outstanding scientific and technological workers, educators and outstanding students, and carried out a series of popular science activities, which have had a good impact on society.
