Liu Hong’s educational research

Research direction:

Molecular genetics of cardiovascular disease

Research work:

Focusing on the pathogenesis of hypertension as the main research direction, through population genetics and molecular biology technology, for the first time in the world, the arachidonic acid ω-hydroxylase gene CYP4F2 was identified as a susceptibility gene to hypertension. The enhancement of its expression and activity leads to an increase in the metabolite 20-HETE, which is related to the occurrence of hypertension in the Chinese population. Related.
