Law School is a new college formed by the merger of the former School of Humanities and Social Sciences of Southwest Petroleum University and Law School in September 2009. The college has 67 faculty members, including 7 professors and 27 associate professors. 13 or more teachers are qualified as lawyers, and nearly half of them have national professional qualification certificates for social workers. The college now has four teaching and research sections: Social Science Teaching and Research Section, Law Teaching and Research Section I, Law Teaching and Research Section II and Cultural Quality Teaching and Research Section, four professional institutions such as Sichuan Oil and Gas Development Research Center, Social Construction Development Research Center, Law Research Institute and Grammar Comprehensive Laboratory, as well as research and teaching institutions such as Sichuan Social Work Talent Training Base, Sichuan Legal Aid Center, Southwest Petroleum University Workstation, Judicial Examination Training Center and Putonghua Training and Testing Center. The college is now trying to recruit double-degree students majoring in science, social work and public administration. There are two second-level master's programs: Marxist theory and practice of social construction and enterprise legal management. At the same time, under the first-class master's degree in management science and engineering, there is a training direction of public affairs and administrative management. The college has advanced social work laboratories, computer-aided social investigation laboratories, mock trials, and more than 20 mature student practice bases for public security organs, local government departments and social welfare institutions; We have established good cooperative relations with universities at home and abroad, such as the University of Southern California, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Peking University, as well as institutions and organizations such as the United Nations Save the Children Fund, the the State Council Working Committee on Women and Children, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Heifer International. The students of our college have achieved gratifying results in the national judicial examination, social work professional qualification examination, postgraduate examination, civil service examination and open recruitment examination of state-owned enterprises and institutions in the past five years, and the passing rate ranks among the top universities in the province.
