Dental implants have not yet been included in the scope of medical insurance reimbursement, because the current national medical reimbursement regulations, if it is therapeutic dental treatment, are within the scope of medical insurance reimbursement. For example, dental treatment expenses such as tooth filling, tooth extraction, periodontal disease and gingivitis can be reimbursed. Dental implants belong to medical beauty projects and are not covered by medical insurance card reimbursement. These expenses are usually approved by the price department and belong to special service expenses, which cannot be reimbursed by medical insurance.
The scope of oral reimbursement in the National Medical Reimbursement Regulations is as follows:
1, only the treatment expenses such as dental treatment expenses and operation expenses are reimbursed.
2. If the patient is admitted to the hospital due to illness and meets the hospitalization standard, other expenses can be settled according to the provisions of medical insurance except that the denture expenses cannot be paid by the medical insurance pooling fund.
3. Dental treatment expenses such as tooth extraction and tooth filling are paid by medical insurance. When going to the dental clinic of the hospital, the reimbursement rate of medical insurance is 65438 yuan+more than 0800 yuan, 50%.
To sum up, from the overall development of the medical insurance system, the people's demand for disease treatment, and the financing level and anti-risk ability of the medical insurance fund, it is not yet possible to include dental implants in the scope of medical insurance payment.
