Zhou Libo won the first "Study and Honesty" Outstanding Paper Award in 1997. His main research directions are atmospheric physics and atmospheric environment. His current work focuses on global atmospheric ozone, large mountain circulation, and atmospheric material exchange at mid- and high-latitudes.

Participated in and completed many national and foundation key projects, such as the major project of the Ministry of Science and Technology "China's First Arctic Scientific Expedition" and the 973 Project "Variation of East Asian Energy and Moisture Cycle under the Background of Global Warming and Its Impact on my country "The Impact of Extreme Climate", the fund's key project "Research on the Exchange of Surface Atmosphere and Tropospheric Atmosphere in the Himalayas", etc.
