Hefei University of Technology is a double first-class discipline. Hefei University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). The Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Anhui Provincial Government have established universities, and the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau and the Ministry of Education have established universities. The school was founded in 1945, and 1960 was approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as a national key university. In 2005, the school became a national "2 1 1 Project" key construction university, in 2009, it became a national "985 Project" dominant discipline innovation platform construction university, and in 20 17, it entered the ranks of national "double-class" construction universities. The school adheres to the national strategic needs and international academic frontiers, vigorously strengthens demand-oriented basic research, focuses on cutting-edge technologies and subversive technological innovations, promotes organized scientific research and interdisciplinary research, and carries out basic science center projects, major projects, innovative research group projects and major scientific research instruments in the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
