Project number: SCP-00 1

Project level: security

Special sealing measures: SCP-00 1 should be locked together with all relevant data in the important document library on the ground floor of 10/floor. The vault is a specially-made reinforced concrete octagonal room (see Appendix U for the complete schematic diagram), and there is a time lock with a weight of 2000 kg and a thickness of 0.9 m on the ceiling. The schedule of the time lock should be kept confidential, and only Dr. Y.Mirski can check it. Entering the room requires triple authorization confirmation (such as access card+fingerprint+password). SCP-00 1 is one of the safest assets of the Foundation, so these measures are mainly to avoid theft.

Description: SCP-00 1 is a smooth, black and perfect ellipsoid (about15.1cm×15.4cm×16.5cm) agate gem with mottled white patterns. Its exterior, including equator and poles, is covered with complex, layered and irregular filiform gold. At present, it is generally considered as "lowland" or "South Pole", and gold is carved into a wide pattern, but with the increase of latitude, the pattern gradually becomes complex and fine. And close to the "North Pole", also known as "lock" or "singularity" (see the following report), the complexity of the pattern has developed beyond the resolution of optical and even electron microscopes. Further investigation depends on the progress of microscopic technology.

The gem constantly emits a small amount of microwave thermal radiation (about 34.5007 ~ 34.5438+00 MW). Therefore, gold wire feels warm, and white stripes emit more radiation than black agate.

In addition, SCP-00 1 is completely inert. It will not be penetrated by any form of electromagnetic radiation or ultrashort wave radiation. So far, it is indestructible (see below: Pluto plan). We only guessed visually that it was a combination of agate and gold, because it proved impossible to take samples for chemical analysis.

SCP-00 1 acquisition report

SCP-00 1 was first recorded in the handwritten diary of Sir Edwin Young, a Scottish nobleman (161-1677). According to the custom at that time, he owned a small room called "Rare Secret Room", which contained some artificial objects of unknown origin, such as sculptures, preserved creatures and some gadgets. In his diary, Yang mentioned that when he crossed the Mesopotamian desert in 1654, "agate and pure gold are bound treasures, too elegant to be described by reason". The diary shows that SCP-00 1 was found buried in the ruins of a "barren and cursed place, even older than ancient times". When I was young, I thought it might be a temple dedicated to "terrible death". There are four huge stone tablets engraved with runes in the ruins. The stone tablet is surrounded by a stone, and SCP-00 1 is wrapped in it. There is a sketch in Yang's diary, and there is the clearest rune on the best preserved stone tablet, but he can't read the rune and can't find a scholar who can translate it.

The record of Yang's trip to the ruins is incomplete. So the ruins have not been found.

After Yang's death, his "strange things of unknown origin" lay quietly in the warehouse for hundreds of years. 1805, his descendants donated SCP-00 1 to the Scottish National Museum in Edinburgh. The curator of the museum thinks that SCP-00 1 is an ancient, fragile and priceless heritage of ancient Sumerian metalwork. Therefore, its unusual warmth, its indestructibility and its impossible microstructure have not been discovered by them. However, they have been able to recognize the rune on Yang's sketch, which is the third Sumerian cuneiform around 3400 BC. At present, only a part can be translated:

Mr mccandless, the translator, commented:

Finally, it was exhibited in 1949, SCP-00 1 semi-permanently.

In 2003, a staff member on leave noticed that the white mottled pattern on SCP-00 1 was similar to the cosmic microwave background radiation. This kind of microwave surrounds the entire visible universe, and was only mapped by the wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Detector (WMAP) of NASA in early 2003. Further observation shows that the two modes are the same. SCP-00 1 (together with Yang's diary from Baron) was immediately bought by an external organization of the Foundation and transferred to Site- 10 for preliminary analysis by Dr. Q.Hack and Dr. Y.Mirski.

This research will be continued by Dr. mirsky, who recently left the Foundation.

Yang's diary also includes some detailed sketches of SCP-00 1. One of the sketches, an ornate little thing that looks like a key, was installed in the "North Pole". But this key has not been found yet.
