FAW-Volkswagen Co., Ltd. is a large-scale car joint venture invested by FAW-Volkswagen AG, Volkswagen AG and Audi AG. Since 1998, the company has successively introduced Jetta cars with advanced equipment such as ABS (Anti-lock Brake) system, automatic gearbox and airbag to the market, and modified the body by relying on its own development ability. After the Audi series was transferred to FAW-Volkswagen as a contract product, the company developed the Audi 2 1.8T limousine. On September 6th, 1999, Audi A6 China limousine successfully rolled off the production line. At present, FAW-Volkswagen has more than 5 varieties of Jetta and Audi, and it is the only car enterprise in China that can produce both popular mid-range cars and luxury high-end cars.
