This version releases new features for the first time in four scenarios: server, cloud computing, edge computing and embedded system, which is convenient for developers to build.

Xu Zhijun, Huawei's rotating chairman, said at Huawei's full connectivity conference last year that Huawei will build two operating systems in the future, one is the HarmonyOS operating system and the other is the Euler operating system, both of which are open source. The application scenarios of HarmonyOS operating system are intelligent terminals, Internet of Things terminals and industrial terminals; Euler operating system is oriented to server, edge computing, cloud and embedded devices.
However, the operating system of Euler is different from the operating system of HarmonyOS, and Huawei promises not to develop a commercial version of Euler, which means that Huawei does not compete with the operating systems on the market. Euler itself is an operating system based on Linux, and there are many commercial versions of operating systems derived from Linux. Now the relationship between Euler and them has changed from competition to empowerment. In other words, Huawei does not intend to make a profit through Euler, but maintains the background color of the infrastructure to assist operating system vendors in commercialization.
China's server operating system market has a bright future
According to the China Server Operating System Market Research Report released by CCID Consulting, since Huawei announced the open source of openEuler in 219, eco-partners have actively joined the construction of open source communities.

Xu Zhijun once emphasized that after Huawei opened the open source Euler operating system, only companies that distribute it based on the open source version can earn income from the operating system itself, because the distribution can sell money and earn income through services. Companies that develop applications on the Euler distribution are no different from companies that develop applications on other operating systems.
Up to now, Euler Open Source Community has attracted nearly 1, open source contributors, more than 33 enterprises, research institutions and universities to join, and set up nearly 1 special interest groups, and promoted the rapid development of the operating system industry through various forms such as community distribution and partner commercial distribution.
The CCID report also pointed out that enterprises going to the cloud and informationization in the industry will bring huge market space, and at the same time, the suspension of CentOS service will release a certain market to the commercial distribution. With the stability of domestic Linux server operating system verified in the market, it will accelerate the penetration of domestic Linux server operating system into key industries such as telecommunications, Internet and finance, and the installed capacity of the market will maintain rapid growth.
