China’s future medical and health industry trends

With the continuous improvement of the national economic level, people's requirements for medical health are also getting higher and higher.

Medical and health reform has encountered a "bottleneck". This "bottleneck" is the fierce conflict between the rigidity of the medical and health system and the diverse health requirements of the people. Comprehensive reform of the health sector has become urgent.

The author believes that the development of the medical and health industries will form five major trends in the future.

1. Pay equal attention to the reform of hospital joint-stock systems and the construction of community health institutions.

Ensuring national health relies first on mechanisms and secondly on financial resources. However, the current situation is that the mechanism is inflexible and financial resources are insufficient. This is mainly reflected in the following: 1. Hospital construction relies on patients.

More than 90% of outpatient buildings and inpatient buildings in hospitals across the country are built with bank loans, and all loan repayment responsibilities are borne by patients. Patients pay to make public hospital employees become "quasi shareholders" of the hospital, and public hospital employees become the hospital's ever-expanding scale.

The only beneficiary, while the burden on patients is increasing year by year, the hospital still euphemistically calls it "non-profit".

2. "Public welfare hospitals" are supported by patients. In fact, hospitals have long been non-public welfare. More than 90% of employee wages and bonuses in public hospitals across the country are paid by hospital profits rather than financial appropriations. Their nature is not essentially different from Western private hospitals. Patients have been there for many years.

They have been suffering from "high medical expenses" for many years, while public hospital employees have been crying out for "poverty" and "oppression" for many years. This contradiction cannot be resolved to this day.

3. The core of my country's current basic medical insurance system is "take it from the people, use it for the people, and balance the revenue and expenditure."

The actual financial allocation for medical expenses is not much, and its essence is not much different from commercial medical insurance. In the long run, the amount of medical insurance premiums paid by ordinary people will become higher and higher, and in the end they may not even be willing to "force purchase"

Establish a system in which taxation is the main source of payment for basic medical care and a health system in line with socialist characteristics.

4. Strengthening the construction of community health institutions and directly investing the finance into the service system is an effective way to reduce the cost of medical services for the common people.

5. Restructure more than 70% of the existing public hospitals. The funds for subscribing to the equity of public hospitals are used to supplement the medical insurance fund. Joint-stock hospitals use special tax revenue for profit-making hospitals to invest in the medical insurance fund. This is an effective method. The joint-stock reform of public hospitals

It is imperative.

2. Competition between medical institutions and competition among doctors has become more obvious.

Without pressure and competition, it is impossible to provide high-quality medical services. However, the current situation is that high-quality resources are not effective. Using the resources of tertiary hospitals to meet basic medical services is itself "high consumption" and "extreme waste." This is incompatible with the current situation.

The national strength is extremely inconsistent.

1. In the future medical industry, more medical institutions will not rely on the "People's Hospital" brand, but rely on technology and services to ensure competitive advantages. To maintain their advantages, every competitor needs a promotion platform. Medical Know-How

The emergence of just caters to this demand.

2. At present, doctors' labor remuneration has two manifestations: one is that they perform well or poorly, and the other is that they rely on receiving kickbacks and red envelopes to reflect their value.

In fact, as far as doctors are concerned, they don't want to do this.

In the future, with the emergence of more joint-stock hospitals and the realization of multi-site practice for doctors, doctors will have more practice options.

If a doctor wants to reflect his own value, he can do so in two ways. One is to become a well-known doctor and implement open prices. The other is to see more patients and serve more patients.

If doctors want to do this quickly, they must use a rapid promotion platform that ordinary people are willing to accept. Self-proclaimed publicity is obviously not the best way.

3. Relative excess of medical human resources.

With the rapid development of the medical industry in recent years, the demand for human resources by medical institutions will enter a slow period. At the same time, the number of graduates from medical schools is constantly growing. In addition to taking postgraduate entrance examinations and choosing to go to community health institutions, new graduates seem to have very little choice.

With few other options (there is also a surplus of medical representatives due to the policy crackdown), services outside the hospital and medical health consultation will gradually emerge. Medical consultation is an industry that will surely become a popular choice for medical students to find employment.

4. Due to the low integrity of the current medical and health care industry, the medical and health consulting industry will become more and more popular among the public, and this industry may experience explosive growth.

1. People are increasingly questioning the integrity of the medical, sanitation, and health care industries. There are not many information channels for ordinary people to learn about these industries. The current channels that can be understood mainly include ① books: it is time-consuming to purchase and read, and difficult to understand; ② the Internet

Service: Affected by time, location, and crowds, service efficiency is low and authenticity is mixed; ③ Newspapers and magazines: Not highly targeted to individuals and poor in timeliness.

2. The public increasingly needs fast, fair (credible), and high-quality information consultation in terms of medical treatment, sanitation (public health, food hygiene), and health care. However, this demand cannot be satisfactorily guaranteed at present.

There is no platform that can provide efficient, high-quality and impartial medical information consulting services. The emergence of Medical Know-how will change this situation.

3. Due to the further breakdown of families, the environment for making friends has further shrunk, and it is difficult for people to make friends with people who understand medicine or to obtain traditional health knowledge from their parents, relatives and friends. Therefore, the younger generation has an increasing desire for medical, health care, and health consulting platforms.
