Tang Juxing’s scientific and technological achievements

Researcher Tang Juxing is not a pure academic scientist, but a scientific engineer who combines scientific research and production. He can correctly evaluate geological characteristics and use mineralization theory to guide mineral prospecting. He guided the exploration of several large and super-large mineral deposits and made great contributions to society.

1. From 2006 to present, he has presided over the exploration and evaluation work of the Jiama super-large copper polymetallic mine in Tibet and achieved major prospecting breakthroughs.

As of September 2013, nearly 400 boreholes had been completed, and nearly 180,000 meters of drilling work had been completed, creating a miracle in the exploration of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The project broke through the previous understanding of seabed mineralization theory. According to the porphyry-skarn mineralization theory, arduous scientific research and exploration evaluation work were carried out, and a major prospecting breakthrough was achieved. The amount of resources was discovered and added (331+332+ 333): Cu resources are 7 million tons, Mo resources are 690,000 tons, Pb+Zn resources are 1.05 million tons, associated Au resources are 152 tons, and associated Ag resources are 9995 tons (review document number: Mineral Reserve Evaluation Words [ 2013] No. 111; filing number: Tibet Land Resources Reserve [2013] No. 28). The deposit has been put into production in July 2010, generating annual profits and taxes of nearly 300 million.

2. From 2003 to present, he has presided over the exploration and evaluation of the Xiongcun super-large copper-gold deposit, and proposed that there is an island-arc porphyry copper-gold deposit in the Gangdese metallogenic belt.

As of December 2013, the Xiongcun Copper-Gold Mine has completed 201 construction drilling holes, with drilling footage of 63,233.92 meters and 2.38 million tons, associated resources of 202.7 tons, and associated silver resources of 1,041.9 tons (land resources Reserve Zi [2013] No. 101, China Mining Fed Comment [2013] No. 39). The Xiongcun-type copper-gold deposit is a new type of deposit discovered in the Gangdese metallogenic belt. It points out a new prospecting direction for finding island-arc porphyry copper-gold deposits in the Gangdese metallogenic belt. In the Xiongcun copper-gold deposit Several ore bodies including the Xiongcun III copper-gold mine were discovered outside the mine.

3. Implement a new mechanism for prospecting breakthroughs, serve mining companies in the exploration of large-to-super large mines, and achieve remarkable results.

Practice the new prospecting mechanism of "public welfare first, business follow-up, fund connection, integrated exploration, rapid breakthrough" and the exploration model that combines "mining, learning, research and application". In the "358 Prospecting Breakthrough Operation", we have the courage to shoulder heavy responsibilities and have the courage to innovate. As a technical support unit and technical service team, it provided strong technical support for Chinalco Resources’ prospecting breakthrough in Tiegelong South (Rongna Mine Section) in the Duolong Ore Concentration Area, determined the type of deposit, and considered the deposit to be the first in mainland my country. The second example of a high-sulfur epithermal copper-gold deposit is also the first high-sulfur epithermal deposit discovered in Tibet. Exploration and evaluation in 2013 alone yielded 5.644 million tons of copper metal (332+333) with an average grade of 0.55%.

Participated in the exploration work of Qulong copper polymetallic deposit in Tibet Mozhugongka County of Tibet Julong Mining (the exploration report ranked fourth) (2006-January 2008), and submitted 7.188 million tons of copper metal resources. The associated molybdenum metal resources are 356,000 tons and the silver metal resources are 4,221 tons (won the first prize of the 2011 Land and Resources Science and Technology Award). Presided over the exploration of the poor large-scale copper-gold mine in Aligar, Tibet, identified the morphology, occurrence and scale of the skarn-type copper-gold mine, and obtained more than 20 tons of gold resources and 90,000 tons of copper resources (or 2012 China's Ten major advances of the Academy of Geological Sciences).
