She once served as deputy general manager of China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation, deputy mayor of Shenzhen City, and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress.

He is currently the honorary president of the Guangdong Wu Xiaolan Charity Foundation.
