Profile: Ren Shengli, Ph.D., editor-in-chief of "Science China" magazine, was born in Anhui in 1966; graduated from Changchun Institute of Geology (now the School of Earth Sciences of Jilin University) in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in engineering; graduated from the Geological Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995
