Profile: Ren Shengli, Ph.D., editor-in-chief of "Science China" magazine, was born in Anhui in 1966; graduated from Changchun Institute of Geology (now the School of Earth Sciences of Jilin University) in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in engineering; graduated from the Geological Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995

He has published more than 60 papers or essays on bibliometrics and scientific editing and writing in journals. He has rich training experience in scientific editing and writing. In 2007 and 2009, he presided over the translation of "English Writing and Speech for Science and Technology" and
"Advanced English Writing for Science and Technology". Received funding and awards from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to introduce outstanding talents in the field of journal publishing, and the Second China Publishing Government Award for Outstanding Publishing Figures.
