Yanshan University won the National Science and Technology Award 17, including 2 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 3 second prizes of the National Technological Invention Award.
There are 3 second prizes of National Natural Science Awards, and more than 800 projects of "973", "863", National Natural Science Foundation and National Social Science Foundation have been undertaken.
Two scientific research achievements, 20 13 and 20 14, were selected as "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress in China" and "Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress in Colleges and Universities in China". There are Yanshan University National University Science Park and Yanshan University Press.
The research team led by Professor Tian Yongjun of Yanshan University, a Chinese material scientist, cooperated with Professor Ma Yanming of Jilin University and Professor Wang Yanbin of the University of Chicago in the United States, and made another breakthrough after synthesizing superhard nano-twin cubic boron nitride in 20 13, and successfully synthesized nano-twin diamond stones with hardness twice that of natural diamond at high temperature and high pressure.
