The National Computer Rank Examination (NationalComputerRankExamination) is a national computer proficiency test launched by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education in 1994. It is divided into 4 levels and is mainly aimed at non-computer major students and practitioners.

This exam mainly tests the candidates' computer application knowledge and skills. Anyone can choose the corresponding level and subject based on their own learning situation and actual ability.

In order to help candidates study and take the exam, the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education organized experts to compile a series of NCRE tutorials (including exam syllabus), which are exclusively published by Higher Education Press.
