It has a certain representativeness in the Central Plains and is deeply loved by the masses. In 2007, Xiping bronzes were listed in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage list in Henan Province, and in June 2008, they were listed in the second batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list in the State Council. In 2008, Xiping Tonggu Band won the highest prize, Golden Spike Award, on behalf of Henan Province in the first national farmers' art performance held in Suzhou.
