Huang Weidong, born in 1956, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Northwestern Polytechnical University.
Distinguished professor, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, director of the State Key Laboratory of Solidification Technology, expert in metal discipline evaluation of the National Natural Science Fund, vice chairman of the Additive Manufacturing Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, chief expert of the 3D printing expert group of the Ministry of Science and Technology, member of the major national expert group on intelligent manufacturing, deputy director of the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center, and editor-in-chief of the first international magazine in the field of 3D printing.
