1950, graduated from the Department of Political Science in Peking University, and was employed by Guangxi University as a teaching assistant in the Department of Historical Geography. He stayed in Peking University to study the modern history of China with Professor Zheng Tianting, taught at Guangxi University in 1952, and transferred to the history department of Guangxi Normal University (now Guangxi Normal University) in 1953. He used to be the deputy director and director of the Institute of Local Ethnic History of Guangxi Normal University.

1978 was awarded associate professor, and 198 1 year was promoted to professor. Since 198 1, I have served as a postgraduate tutor to guide international students. 1983 was rated as an advanced worker in Guangxi, and 1989 was rated as an excellent teacher in Guangxi and the whole country. 1992 was rated as an excellent expert in Guangxi and enjoyed special government allowance. 1993 won the second prize of Ceng Xianzi Education Foundation.

He has published monographs such as Yong 'an Taiping Army, jintian uprising, People of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (won the first prize of the second outstanding social science achievement in Guangxi) and the founding history of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (won the first prize of outstanding social science achievement in Guangxi universities 1993). Editor-in-chief or participated in the compilation of History of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (series, 2 1), My Motherland (series, 4 volumes, designated by the Library Working Committee of the Ministry of Education as the school library equipment book), Guangxi in 1930s (won the second prize of the fourth outstanding social science achievement in Guangxi) and Research on Weizhen in Modern Guangxi (won the first prize of the sixth outstanding social science achievement in Guangxi)

June 5438 +2003 10, he was re-elected as president at the 10th Congress of Guangxi Historical Society. He used to be the part-time vice-chairman of the first and second committees of the Autonomous Region Social Science Federation and the chairman of the first Committee of Guilin Social Science Federation. He is the honorary president of Guangxi Confucianism Society.
