On the same day, the official WeChat account "the State Council Poverty Alleviation Office" was renamed as "National Rural Revitalization Bureau".

Established in 1989, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation is a national public welfare organization registered in the Ministry of Civil Affairs and headed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and it is one of the largest and most influential public welfare organizations in poverty alleviation and rural development in China. With the support of all walks of life, by the end of 2020, a total of 7.836 billion yuan of funds and materials had been raised, benefiting 484 1.86 million people in the disaster areas.

Over the past 32 years, the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has been widely recognized by the public through good internal governance, project management and social performance, and its social influence has been continuously improved. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has taken winning the battle against poverty by 2020 as the bottom line task and symbolic index of building a well-off society in an all-round way. The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation deeply understands its historical mission and responsibility, actively responds to the call of the central authorities, further improves institutional management based on its own advantages, innovates the model and content of poverty alleviation projects, scientifically integrates resources and channels, and fully participates in poverty alleviation work. After eight years of poverty alleviation, 50199 million yuan has been raised, accounting for 66% of the funds raised in the past 32 years, and 35.3776 million people have benefited.
