Currently, against the background of the wave of digital transformation superimposed on the development trend of the "New Four Modernizations" of the automobile industry, traditional car companies have begun to embrace digitalization and accelerate the deployment of the New Four Modernizations.
As a traditional commercial vehicle company under the FAW Group, FAW Jiefang is facing the energy revolution and digital revolution, and has an urgent need for digital transformation and development.
In this regard, Chen Lei said that FAW Jiefang is committed to "digital-driven smart liberation", and throughout the entire new four automotive modernizations, including digital transformation, FAW Jiefang needs the assistance of a large number of partners to jointly carry out digital transformation.
Huawei has experience, technology, and services, making it the best partner for FAW Jiefang's digital transformation. The two parties began in-depth cooperation in 2017 and provided assistance to FAW Jiefang in terms of technology and management systems.
At the meeting, Chen Lei further introduced the digital cooperation process between FAW Jiefang and Huawei.
He said that since the two parties reached cooperation in 2017, they have mainly gone through three major stages of change: IT planning consulting, IPD digital implementation consulting, and digital transformation elite training.
Among them, in order to cope with the comprehensive cloud challenges caused by FAW Jiefang's business characteristics such as "multiple regions of resources, multi-level organizations, diverse scenarios, and multiple types of technologies", FAW Jiefang chose Huawei Cloud as its technical support.
Networking to the cloud, building a private cloud and operation management platform in 2019, and jointly releasing a cloud white paper this year to help FAW Jiefang gradually complete its cloud transformation.

At the same time, FAW Jiefang also realizes digital upgrade of marketing business based on Huawei Cloud's cloud-native business.
Chen Lei said that FAW Liberation's traditional CRM and marketing-related systems can no longer meet the increasing and changing needs of customers and industries. The transformation of marketing business to cloud and service is very urgent.
To this end, FAW Jiefang began to use cloud services and capabilities such as Huawei Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and container microservices to move its SCRM to the cloud to support marketing business innovation.
In addition, Huawei Cloud also ensures the fast and stable operation of FAW Jiefang's connected car brand "Jiefangxing", improving user experience and efficiency.
Specifically, through the Huawei Cloud MRS+OBS storage and computing separation solution, "Jiefangxing" can achieve flexible scheduling of resources and tasks, and increase resource utilization by 30%; by building a data governance system with the Huawei Cloud Data Lake Governance Center (DGC) as the core
system and established a complete data management process; it also optimized the data lake and data model scheduling to quickly complete vehicle data analysis and query, and accelerated development by introducing Huawei Cloud microservices technology.
Whether Chinese car companies can seize the opportunities in the digital transformation is the key for the new round of car companies to build their core competitiveness and continue to grow bigger and stronger.
