He graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering of Nanjing University of Chemical Technology in 1997. He received his PhD in Engineering from Nanjing University of Technology in June 2002 and stayed at the school to teach.

From April 2003 to January 2007, the project applicant went to the United States to study and successively engaged in postdoctoral research at the New Mexico School of Mines and Technology and the University of Cincinnati.

In February 2007, he returned to China to teach and was appointed as a professor by Nanjing University of Technology.

Mainly engaged in research on molecular sieve membrane separation and catalytic reactions. He has published more than 20 academic papers, including more than 10 journal papers included in SCI. He won the first prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress Award in 2004 and the 2007 Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award.

?One first prize each for China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association's Scientific and Technological Progress Award.

Currently, he is in charge of the “973” project, NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund key projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Science Fund, Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Support Plan, Ministry of Education and Nanjing Returned Overseas Students Fund and other projects.
