I. Introduction of Xiamen University

Xiamen University (XMU), located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, is a national key comprehensive research university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and one of the earliest universities in China to recruit graduate students. Xiamen University Malaysian Branch was established. ?

Second, the teaching staff.

There are nearly 3,000 full-time teachers in the school, of which 75. 1% are professors and associate professors. * * * There are 33 academicians of the two academies (including 19 double employment), 4 academicians of the Academy of Sciences of developing countries, 2 academicians of the China Academy of Medical Sciences, and 4 1 person in charge of the national key R&D program;

There are 12 national innovation research groups, 2 basic science center projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 9 innovation teams of the Ministry of Education and 6 national famous teachers.

Third, teaching construction.

Eight disciplines of Xiamen University were selected into the 2.0 base of the top-notch students' training plan for basic disciplines of the Ministry of Education, and1/major (13 project) was selected into the outstanding talents education and training plan of the Ministry of Education. 44 majors were selected as national first-class professional construction sites; 44 courses were selected into the first batch of first-class undergraduate courses in China.

The school was selected as the demonstration center of curriculum ideological and political education of the Ministry of Education, and two courses were selected as the demonstration courses of curriculum ideological and political education of the Ministry of Education. There are 6 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 3 national virtual simulation experimental teaching centers, 1 national clinical teaching and training demonstration centers, and 3 national off-campus practical education bases for college students. Won the first prize 1 and the second prize 15 of the sixth, seventh and eighth national higher education teaching achievements.
