The founder of extenics
Cai Wen, a researcher at Guangdong University of Technology, 1964 graduated from Sun Yat-sen University. A national expert with outstanding contributions, the founder of extenics, and the director of the Extension Engineering Committee of China Artificial Intelligence Society. He has been rated as a national expert with outstanding contributions and an outstanding young and middle-aged expert in Guangdong Province for many times, and enjoys the special government allowance awarded by the State Council.

From 1976, the theory and method of dealing with incompatibility are studied. 1983 published the paper "Extension Set and Incompatibility" and founded a new discipline "Extenics" (formerly known as "Matter Element Analysis"). He presided over and completed five NSFC projects: Research on the Law of Dealing with Contradictions and Conflicts in Decision System, Theory and Method of Transition Bridge, Generation Method and Coordination of Key Strategies, Research on Basic Theory and Method of Extension Strategy Generation System and Extension Marketing Method, and participated in NSFC projects: Research on Theory and Method of Extension Planning, Theory, Method and Its of Extension Data Mining for Obtaining Changing Knowledge. The main monographs include extension set and extension data mining, preliminary extension logic, extension marketing (simplified and traditional), extension engineering methods (simplified and traditional Chinese and English versions), matter-element model and its application, and matter-element analysis.
