What is msci index fund?
"MSCI National Index" is a collection of listed companies' share prices, liquidity, shareholding of major shareholders, free liquidity, monthly trading volume, etc. by MSCI, and the listed companies are classified according to the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS).

Each industry selects 60% stocks with market value as constituent stocks according to certain standards, including scale (market value), long-term and short-term trading volume, cross-shareholding and number of shares in circulation. Because Morgan Stanley Capital International Company first divides industries and then selects stocks from industries, it ensures that all industries in the index portfolio have a relatively fixed stock ratio, which makes the index more representative of industries.

Extended data:

The MSCI National Index is weighted by the freely floating adjusted market value. MSCI defines free circulation as the proportion of tradable shares that international investors can invest in the open securities market.

Some shares held by strategic investors and other shareholders that cannot be freely circulated should be deducted from the total circulation, and restrictions on foreign investors' holding shares in the market should be considered. MSCI uses hierarchical and progressive free liquidity factor decomposition to adjust liquidity.
