What is a corgi?

As friends who are familiar with Keji know, Keji is divided into two types, Ke Jiquan in Cadigan and Ke Jiquan in Pembroke. Today, besides the above two kinds, Boqi Xiaobian will also introduce the third kind of Ke Jiquan. Let's meet Ke Jiquan's family today.

1. Cadigan, Ke Jiquan, Wales and Pembroke, Ke Jiquan, Wales

At least in 92 AD, Ke Jiquan, Wales existed in Britain. It is one of the oldest dog breeds originating in Britain. At first, Ke Jiquan's ancestors were very important to herders in ancient times. Later, most of the land that belonged to the king and could not be grazed was gradually occupied by herders. With enough grassland, herders no longer need to rush about grazing, and Ke Jiquan has obviously lost its former glory. However, there are still a few people left Ke Jiquan to look after the house. These Ke Jiquan's were then mixed into the blood of other sheepdogs.

Ke Jiquan, Wales, Cadigan

Cadigan and pembroke have always been very close to each other, and they only started to be separated in modern times. Cadigan, Wales, Ke Jiquan and Pembroke, Wales, Ke Jiquan, before the 193s, there was no clear boundary. People think that they are the same breed, but different pedigree types.

in p>1928, their names were officially recognized by the British kennel club. After 193s, Americans began to introduce Cadigan Welsh Ke Jiquan, and this kind of dog gradually began to be noticed by people. Finally, in 1935, ACK recognized it as a single dog breed. In 1952, Cadigan and pembroke first appeared at the dog show under different names.

Compared with the two, pembroke Ke Jiquan has a shorter figure, straighter and lighter leg bones, and better texture of back hair. But in temperament, pembroke Ke Jiquan is restless and excitable, not as tame as Cadigan Welsh Ke Jiquan. Moreover, the tail of Cadigan, Wales and Ke Jiquan does not hinder the action, so it is generally unnecessary to cut off the tail.

2. Ke Jiquan, Sweden

Originally from Sweden, it originated in the 6th century. Ke Jiquan in Sweden was mainly raised by Swedish farmers in the eighth century, and was originally used to graze cattle. In 1942, this species was on the verge of extinction, and the number was very small. Dog experts have made great efforts to revive this breed and make its number rise continuously. In 1948, the Swedish Dog Owners Club recognized it. In 1964, the Swedes changed their name to "Vasgotaspets", which is now widely distributed in Sweden. Swedes believe that it is the ancestor of Ke Jiquan in European countries, but this statement has caused widespread controversy. It is still inconclusive whether Ke Jiquan in Sweden is the ancestor or descendant of Ke Jiquan. The appearance is obviously similar to that of Welsh Ke Jiquan, but the coat color tends to be soft. In 1996, the Federal Dog Owners Club recognized it.
