But in temperament, pembroke Ke Jiquan is restless and excitable, not as tame as Cadigan Welsh Ke Jiquan. Originally from Sweden, it originated in the 6th century. Ke Jiquan in Sweden was mainly raised by Swedish farmers in the eighth century, and was originally used to graze cattle. In 1942, this species was on the verge of extinction, and the number was very small. Dog experts have made great efforts to revive this breed and make its number rise continuously. In 1948, the Swedish Dog Owners Club recognized it. In 1964, the Swedes changed their name to "Vasgotaspets", which is now widely distributed in Sweden. Swedes believe that it is the ancestor of Ke Jiquan in European countries, but this statement has caused widespread controversy. It is still inconclusive whether Ke Jiquan in Sweden is the ancestor or descendant of Ke Jiquan. The appearance is obviously similar to that of Welsh Ke Jiquan, but the coat color tends to be soft. In 1996, the Federal Dog Owners Club recognized it.
