Edward: The establishment of amity foundation was the result of the reform and opening-up policy in the 1980s. As a non-governmental organization, Aide enjoys independent decision-making power, and actively seeks cooperation with all departments or groups in China that are committed to promoting social development and improving people's living standards, including government organizations, local governments, professional institutions, universities, churches and other religious groups.
The Friendship Foundation believes that the masses are the main driving force for change. Therefore, Ed emphasized the principle of public participation when implementing various projects to improve the living standards of communities and people. Amity foundation gives priority to developing projects that directly improve people's lives, helping poor areas with backward medical care and education to get rid of poverty and promote ecological protection.
In accordance with the deployment of the "Eighth Seven-Year Plan for Poverty Alleviation", Aide took the lead in shifting the focus of the project to the west, actively introduced advanced poverty alleviation and development concepts, and launched a number of comprehensive development projects for rural poverty alleviation, which were active in the main battlefield of rural poverty alleviation in the west. The third decade was a period of innovation, and Ed constantly explored new areas of work according to the changes in the situation.
