He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Ancient Books and Traditional Culture of Beijing Normal University, director of the Chen Yuan Research Office, and a full-time researcher at the Historical Theory and Historiography Research Center of Beijing Normal University.
He was hired as an evaluation expert for the Scientific Research Start-up Fund for Returned Overseas Students of the Ministry of Education, an academic committee member of the "Siku Quanshu Research Center" of Capital Normal University; he served as the president of the Chinese Historical Documents Research Association and an editorial board member of "Historical Documents Research".
He is a member of the Chinese Yuan History Research Association and the Chinese Practical Learning Research Association.

He has supervised 15 master students, 21 doctoral students, and 2 visiting scholars.
Scientific research topics: 1. Since 1990, I have participated in the editing and editing work of "Quan Yuanwen", a key national ancient book compilation and publishing project collectively undertaken by the Institute of Ancient Books. I have completed the proofreading work of more than 1.4 million words and reviewed more than 1.5 million words.
2. In 1993, he independently undertook the National Social Science Fund Youth Project "Research on Ancient Private Collection Culture". The project has been completed and the 300,000-word manuscript has been published.
3. In 1994, he participated in the "Comprehensive Translation of Twenty-Four Histories", a key project of the National University Antiquities Committee collectively undertaken by the Institute of Ancient Books, and completed a translation of 200,000 words.
4. In 1998, he independently undertook the project "Collection and Examination of Classical Classics" directly funded by the National University Ancient Committee, which has been completed.
5. In 2000, he presided over the Beijing Normal University social science projects "Chronology of Chen Yuan", "Critical Biography of Chen Yuan" and "Picture Biography of Chen Yuan", which have been published.
6. In 2002, he participated in the compilation of "General History of Publishing in China", a key project of the National Social Science Fund of that year, and served as the person in charge of the sub-project "Volume of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties", and the project is ongoing.
7. In 2003, he participated in the research work of the major project "Research on Ancient Chinese Historical Thought" of the Liberal Arts Key Research Base of the Ministry of Education, and served as the person in charge of the sub-project "Research on Historical Philological Thought". 8. Since 2006, he has presided over the compilation project of 35 million words of the national major cultural publishing project "Chinese Dadian·Bibliography".
9. In 2010, he undertook the National Social Science Fund project "Chen Yuan's Historical Thoughts and Chinese Historiography in the Twentieth Century".
